Will the game of Congress deteriorate before BJP? Mamta’s game plan for Mission 2024 is ready

The game of the Congress as the main opposition party against the Modi government is about to deteriorate ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, as the TMC’s game plan is ready. The All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) has begun intensifying its plan to position itself as the main opposition against the BJP for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. TMC aims to project West Bengal Chief Minister and party supremo Mamata Banerjee as the main opposition face for 2024 in the coming days. The move would naturally lead to TMC clashes with the Congress, as the Congress has so far seen itself as the main opposition party.

A TMC source said that as the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) continues to expand its footprint at the national level, the party will have to amend the constitution. However, Trinamool Congress President Mamata Banerjee will take the final decision on the matter. Some changes will be brought in the structure of the Party Working Committee. At present, this committee has 21 members. This will be increased as the party expands its network in Meghalaya, Tripura, Goa and Assam.

However, TMC veteran Derek O’Brien said that this will not change the DNA of the party. But some things will change in the constitution of the party. We have discussed the ways and only party supremo Mamata Banerjee will give the final approval. Let us tell you that after the victory in the Bengal assembly elections, Mamta Banerjee is continuously touring other states and strengthening the party by adding leaders to TMC.

The change in the party’s constitution would be an important step in line with the ambitions of TMK. Leaders from Hindi-speaking regions will also find a place in the newly formed working committee of TMC, which is one of the party’s important centres. Leaders from the western region are also likely to participate in this committee. However, only Mamata Banerjee with ‘veto power’ will remain in this committee.

A party insider said that since the Trinamool Congress aims to become a party with a nationwide presence in the coming days, the working committee will have more members than other states where it has expanded. The next working committee meeting will be held in New Delhi. It is believed that in this meeting, TMC will take a big step regarding the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Mamata Banerjee chaired her party’s working committee meeting with party MPs, MLAs and leaders from Bengal, Goa, Meghalaya and Tripura at her residence in Kolkata on Monday. At the same time, from today Mamta is going on a tour of Mumbai for three days, where she will meet Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar.
