Mollywood actor and pan-Indian star Dulquer Salman won the Petrolhead Actor of the Year award for his performance in the Hindi film Chup at the BBC Top Gear India Awards 2023. Dulquer Salmaan recently won the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival Award as well for his performance in the same movie.
He won the award for best actor in a negative role at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards. He is the first Mollywood actor to get this award. Chup is a psychological thriller movie written and directed by famous filmmaker R Balki, and it was the 3rd Bollywood outing of Dulquer. Dulquer’s next release will be the big-budget Malayalam movie King of Kotha, which will come in August this year during Onam.
King of Kotha is the biggest Dulquer film in Mollywood till date, and it has been bankrolled by Dulquer’s Wayfarer Films and Zee Studios. The film is helmed by debutant Abhilash Joshiey, who is the son of Master Craftsman Joshiey.
