Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Friday that all programs designed for minorities will be resumed.
The government said that a delegation of Chavadi, the Central Council of Minority Muslim Thinkers of Karnataka State, had met on Friday and discussed various issues.
The Chief Minister said that as announced by the government, 5 guarantees are already being implemented, the CM’s office said that early next year, more funds will be allocated for the minorities.
Chavadi has been identified as one of the pro-people movements in Karnataka for more than a decade. It is a part of literary circles, welfare Karnataka development, student and Dalit movements and other pro-people struggles.
Sarkar said, Chavadi has laid emphasis on the educational, social and economic development of the Muslim community. According to the statement of the CM office, it is also against communalism. In the last 5 years, this community has been deprived of the schemes of the government, and therefore the delegation has demanded an increase in grants for the Minority Department, Corporations, Hostels and establishment of a Minority Polytechnic College in the district.
