New Delhi: Union Minister and MP from Amethi, Smriti Irani targeted the Gandhi family and said that Amethi was ruled by the Congress for most of the time, but the district remained a laggard in terms of development. Union Minister Irani, after inaugurating the CT Scan and Diagnostic Center in a government hospital on the second day of Amethi tour, said that today people do not have to go to Lucknow for these facilities. Now a lot of tests is done in Amethi. The country is moving forward under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Common people are getting all the facilities in Amethi.
Taking a jibe at Rahul Gandhi, she said that there was a time when people used to take political flights from here. Today the flying company is working on the ground in Amethi. Rahul Gandhi used to be an MP from here, his mother’s government was there. Still the people of Amethi did not get any facility. The Congress government was in power for so many days after independence, yet the people of Amethi did not get its benefits.
During this, taking a dig at the Samajwadi Party as well, she said that when the SP government was in power, the Congress used to cooperate with them. Despite that, the people of Amethi did not get facilities like Medical College Bypass Over Bridge. After inaugurating the CT Scan and Diagnostic Center, Union Minister Smriti Irani also distributed Ayushman cards.
