ഒർലാൻറ്റോ: നാസ സന്ദർശിക്കാനെത്തി ഹോട്ടലിലെ പൂളിൽ അപകടത്തിൽ പെട്ട് ഒർലാൻറ്റോയിലെ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ വെന്റിലേറ്റർ സഹായത്തോടെ കഴിയുന്ന ഇന്ത്യൻ വിദ്യാർഥി പ്രജോബിന്റെ നില അതീവഗുരുതരം. കുവൈറ്റിലെ ഇന്ത്യൻ സെൻട്രൽ സ്കൂൾ വിദ്യാർത്ഥിയാണ് പ്രജോബ് .
നവംബർ 23 നാണ് പ്രജോബ് ഒർലാന്റോയിലെ ഹോട്ടലിലെ പൂളിൽ ഇറങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അപകടത്തിൽ പെടുന്നത് .പൂളിൽ നിന്നും പുറത്തെടുത്തു ആശുപത്രിയിൽ എത്തിക്കാൻ വൈകിയത് പ്രജോബിന്റെ ആരോഗ്യനില ഏറെ വഷളാക്കി. തുടർന്ന് വെന്റിലേറ്ററേറ്ററിന്റെ സഹായത്തോടെ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ കഴിഞ്ഞു വരികയായിരുന്നു പ്രജോബ്.
ഇന്ന് രാവിലെയോടെ പ്രജോബിന്റെ നില അതീവഗുരുതരാവസ്ഥയിലേക്ക് മാറിയിരിക്കുകയാണ്. കുവൈറ്റിൽ നിന്ന് എത്തിയിട്ടുള്ള പ്രജോബിന്റെ മാതാപിതാക്കളും, സഹോദരനും , സഹായത്തിനായുള്ള ഇന്ത്യൻ സമൂഹവും ഇപ്പോഴും പ്രത്യാശ നഷ്ടപ്പെടാതെ കാത്തിരിക്കുകയാണ്.എന്നാൽ ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ അവസ്ഥയിൽ യാഥാർത്ഥ്യം ഉൾകൊണ്ടുള്ള മുന്നൊരുക്കങ്ങളും നടത്തി വരുന്നുണ്ട്.
14 വർഷമായി കുവൈറ്റ് ഇന്ത്യൻ സെൻട്രൽ സ്കൂൾ വിദ്യാർത്ഥിയായിരുന്നു പ്രജോബ്. ഏറെ പരിമിതികൾക്കുളിൽ നിന്നാണ് മാതാപിതാക്കൾ രണ്ടു കുട്ടികൾക്കും മികച്ച പഠന സംവിധാനം ഒരുക്കിയത്. പഠനത്തിൽ ബഹു മിടുക്കനായിരുന്ന പ്രോജോബ് ആ കുടുംബത്തിന്റെ ഏറെയുള്ള പ്രതീക്ഷയായിരുന്നു.

For those who know Sahaya Jebas “Prajop”, they all can attest the 18-year-old’s love for academic excellence and his proud country, India. He is an accomplished Indian Student from a Kuwait Private School who scored 100 marks in IT in his X Standard Board Examination. His parents spent everything they earned to provide their two children with educational excellence. While Prajop was on a race to reach the heights of his dreams visiting NASA Kennedy Space Center, he met with an unbearable accident at their hotel in Kissimmee, Florida. He accidentally drowned in the hotel pool and is currently on a Ventilator with very little hope by his doctors for recovery. Now, Prajop (that’s what we call him) is being challenged by a different kind of race. A race against time.
His parents and brother are en route from Kuwait to Orlando, Florida. They will arrive in Orlando on Wednesday November 29, 2023. Once they had a chance to comprehend the medical conditions and prognosis and had enough time to grieve, they may have to make the most difficult decision about Prajop as he is simply kept alive by the ventilator. The doctors have informed us, that the continued deterioration of Prajop’s condition has reached the point where the parents may have to make the hardest decision as any parents to keep or remove the ventilator in the coming days. Of course, we haven’t given up hope of a miracle! While strong in our faith and hope, we the Indian Community collectively in the United States are starting this fundraising campaign to provide necessary support and assistance to Prajop’s family! This is about an 18-year old young man, the eldest son in Ventilator and his parents and brother soon to be arriving in a strange foreign country to see their loved one on Ventilator. Imagine YOURSELF in this situation!
We MUST act with love, concern, care, and compassion to show “who we are and what we stand for”. Our actions reflect on us and the proud generous nation we represent. We are extremely proud of everyone unconditionally opening their arms to provide a helping hand to a fellow family in a difficult/crisis situation! It shows our solidarity in helping a fellow “Indian” family without barriers, borders, and boundaries! Proudly Acting on our Pledge – “India is my country and all Indians are my brothers and sisters. Extremely proud of every one of YOU for your big heart. Each one of you should be proud of yourself for your kindhearted and generous dedication to extending a helping hand to Prajop and his family, going through pain and suffering, especially during this “holiday” season.
Prajop is being cared for by the excellent doctors at the AdventHealth Celebration Hospital in Celebration, Florida. Everything associated with Prajop’s current condition and possible next steps/events are/will be expensive and extraordinarily stressful for his parents.
