“Queen Elizabeth” is a new film prepared by the director M. Padmakumar, who has given excellent films in Malayalam.
Meera Jasmine is making a strong comeback to Malayalam cinema and the Pooja ceremony and switch on of the film was held today at Kochi Vennala Travancore Opus Highway. The shooting of the film started after the ceremony which was enriched by the presence of stalwarts of Malayalam cinema.
The film is produced by Ranjith Manambarakatt, Sriram Manambarakatt and M Padmakumar under the banner of Blue Mount Productions. Blue Mount has already produced hit films like Vellam, Appan and Patachone Engalu Katholi. The film is written by Arjun T Satyan. The film, which is very different from the films of M. Padmakumar’s career, is a family drama that presents a very important topic in the society. Queen Elizabeth is also a film where the much-loved Meera Jasmine Naren team-up reunites after many years.
The film stars Meera Jasmine and Naren in the lead roles and stars Shweta Menon, Ramesh Pisharathi, VK Prakash, Shyama Prasad, Johnny Antony, Mallika Sukumaran, Jude Anthony Joseph, Arya Badai Bungalow, Shruti Rajinikanth, Sania Babu, Neena Kurup, Manju Patros and Vineeth. Vishwam, Ranji Kangol and Chitra Nair play other important characters. The main locations of the film in Kochi, Kuttikanam and Coimbatore.
