Kochi: UST Kochi recently hosted the highly anticipated ‘UST Yummy Aid – The Culinary Fest for a Good Cause’. This event was organized by UST’s Network of Women USsociates (NowU), an internal volunteer team dedicated to the development and executive mentoring of the company’s women employees. This annual culinary festival and fundraising event was aimed at tantalizing the taste buds while supporting charitable causes.
The food festival and culinary contest witnessed participation from 14 teams who cooked and brought lip-smacking food from home and sold them at the UST Kochi office in Infopark. The fest showcased the culinary talents within the UST community while supporting charitable initiatives.
The festival featured an array of exciting events, including competitions in categories such as “Best Charity Partner,” “Best Stall,” “Best Dish,” and the highly anticipated “Master Chef.” These categories provided participants with opportunities to display their culinary prowess and contribute to the greater good.
The judges for the contest were Shantanu Seth, Executive Chef, Four Points by Sheraton, and food blogger Rahul N Kutty, Eat Kochi Eat. The judges gave away the prizes to the winners – Deepesh Chandran for ‘Master Chef’; Fish Pollichathu from Yum Lawn for ‘Best Dish’; Nosh for ‘Best Stall’ and Team Habibis for ‘Best Charity Partner’.
This year, the event raised around Rs 80,000 which will be used towards various CSR initiatives for the underprivileged women and education of children. The festival exemplified UST’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and community engagement.
