The BCCI recently announced the Indian Test and ODI squads for the West Indies tour. The BCCI selectors have come under fire for not selecting Sarfaraz Khan in the Test team. Sarfaraz Khan is currently running in excellent form. Recently PTI reported quoting a BCCI source that Sarfaraz Khan has been denied a place in the national team due to his fitness level and bad behavior off the field. Former BCCI selector Saba Karim has given his reaction on this and he believes that this is an absurd reason given.
what did Saba Karim say
Saba Karim told Sportskeeda, “I spoke to Sarfaraz Khan and I don’t think there is any problem. If there is a disciplinary issue then how is he playing regularly for Mumbai? We haven’t heard anything about Sarfaraz Khan from Mumbai’s coach, captain or management. “Karim added,” I don’t believe in all this. I think it is the job of the management and the coach to handle the cricketers if there is such a case. In my opinion this absurd statement has been made for not having a choice.
