Bhopal: Under the chief hospitality of Commissioner Disabled Welfare Sandeep Rajak, children of Bila Bang High International School, Bhopal, presented national anthem in sign language and speech and poetry recitation competitions were held. The Disabled Welfare Commissioner appreciated the school and the children for organizing such an event for the first time in Madhya Pradesh. As a work assigned by the school, the children not only learned sign language during the summer vacation but also acquired proficiency in it.
Rajak said that for the first time in Madhya Pradesh, a speech and poetry recitation competition has been organized in sign language, which will become a role model for other people and schools. Broadcasting of sign language will help hearing impaired persons to join the main stream of the society. The voiceless expressions by the participants mesmerized the audience. Voiceless national anthem being played for the first time in Madhya Pradesh also infused enthusiasm and enthusiasm among the students. Rajak requested the government to include sign language in the curriculum and said that such events can be organized in other schools as well.
Deaf Ken Foundation’s Secretary Preeti Shah Soni, Language Translator Pradeep Luthra and Assistant Director Commissioner Disabled Sunil Sharma were in the jury of the competitions held in symbolic style. Principal of the school, Ashish Aggarwal praised the strong gesture and expression of the children and expressed gratitude at the end of the program. The program was coordinated and conducted by Tanuja Dadhichi, Megha Bhatt and Shweta Jain.
