New Delhi: On the 77th anniversary of Independence, ‘Meri Mati, Mera Desh’ campaign was organized by POWERGRID North Zone. Various types of creative programs were organized in this campaign which lasted from August 9 to 15. In the presence of Executive Director AK Mishra, Chief Manager AK Bohra and departmental senior officers, the ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ campaign was started from Faridabad, the regional headquarters of the northern region.Various types of saplings were planted under the Vasudha Van Dhan program by all the employees in the Regional Headquarters, Sub-stations and offices of POWERGRID Northern Region. On the occasion of Independence Day, the personnel and their families presented cultural programs full of patriotism. Under Meri Mati Mera Desh, former security personnel of the Indian Army were felicitated. These ex-servicemen are currently working in the security service of the office. In the programme, cultural programs were organized remembering the immortal sacrifices and tributes were paid to the unsung heroes and martyrs of the nation.
