New Delhi: After the National Education Policy comes into practice, children will also be taught through practical knowledge. The method of teaching in classes in schools will also change. In the new education policy, special attention has been given to education from 3 to 18 years. It talks about formal education in the 3rd year of play school or kindergarten. There are 4 stages (5+3+3+4) described in schooling from 3 to 18 years. These four levels have been explained by the National Curriculum Framework (NCF).
According to this new formula, the foundation stage has been divided into two parts according to number 5. Number 5 means 3 years of pre-school and 2 years of primary school or first Anganwadi are included. After the Foundation Stage the two grades 1-2 are included together in the first 3. This will include education from 3 to 8 years of age. After 5+3, the next +3 will also cover studies from class 3rd to 5th. During this period, students will cover studies from middle school i.e. class 6th to 8th. This does not include the four years of secondary education i.e. classes 9 to 12.
After 5+3+3, the next 4 will include studies from classes 9 to 12. In these last 4 years of 5+3+3+4 formula, students will have the opportunity to choose the subjects of their choice. 8 categories have been created for choosing subjects combination. This includes humanities, mathematics-computing, vocational education, physical education, arts education, social science and inter-disciplinary subjects.
