Prepare Ganpati’s favorite food Modak at home

Now only a few days are left for the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. In such a situation, its popularity has started appearing in the markets. Before Bappa’s arrival, people are busy cleaning their homes. Many from Bollywood and TV celebs to common man bring Bappa to their home. People install Bappa in their homes with great pomp and show for ten days. After this, Bappa is bid farewell on the day of Anant Chaturdashi.

In such a situation, people prepare many types of food and dishes in their homes to please Lord Ganesha. Modak is very fond of offering to Ganesha. In today’s article, we will tell you how to make Modak, Bappa’s favorite offering, at home, so that you can offer it to God. It is believed that by offering Modak to Ganpati, every wish is fulfilled.

Ingredients for making Modak 

Two cups rice flour,
one spoon desi ghee,
one cup grated coconut,
two spoons jaggery,
two tablespoons finely chopped cashew
nuts
, almonds, ground cardamom.

Method

If you are thinking of making modak, then first prepare its stuffing. To prepare the stuffing, first put a pan on the gas and heat desi ghee in it. After this, fry the grated coconut properly. When it is lightly roasted, take it out and keep it aside.

Now add jaggery pieces in the pan. When the jaggery melts, add roasted coconut to it. Now cook it together. Also add ground cardamom and ground dry fruits for taste. Once cooked well, turn off the gas and take out the stuffing in a plate.

Now to make modak, first take rice flour. After this, heat water in a pan and add ghee in it. When water starts boiling, add rice flour to it and mix well. After cooking the flour for some time, turn off the gas. Take out this prepared dough in a plate. After it cools down slightly, apply ghee on your hands and knead the dough.

After this, apply a little ghee in the modak mold available in the market. After this, take a small ball and place it in the mold. Fill the stuffing inside the center of the mold. Now prepare it and steam it together for ten to 15 minutes. Ganpati’s favorite modak is ready.
