Political parties consider assembly elections as semi-final

Raipur:  MPs are working on a strategy to create an atmosphere of Lok Sabha in the meetings of the 2023 assembly elections to be held in Chhattisgarh. Out of 11 Lok Sabha seats in the state, BJP has nine MPs and Congress has two MPs. Among the BJP MPs, four MPs including the Union Minister of State have been fielded in the assembly elections. These MPs are already campaigning for the party from the Lok Sabha point of view in the election meeting. He is talking about the nine-year plans and achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Those who have not got tickets in the assembly are also active in the election field. All the MPs are also attacking the former UPA government and the opposition alliance currently formed against the BJP, INDIA (Indian National Democratic Inclusive Alliance). Recently, in Raigarh, Bilaspur and Jagdalpur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had mentioned about the Lok Sabha elections along with the assembly elections.

Local MPs took the lead in the assembly elections

Before this, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had also appealed to make Modi the Prime Minister for the third time in 2024. Since then, local MPs have taken charge. Although five BJP MPs, Guharam Ajgalle of Janjgir-Champa, Chunnilal Sahu of Mahasamund, Sunil Kumar Soni of Raipur, Santosh Pandey of Rajnandgaon and Mohan Mandavi of Kanker have not got assembly tickets, yet they are active in the election field. According to political observers, this is expected to secure their ticket in the future.

If the hard work of these leaders in the Assembly pays off, it will be easy for them to get tickets again in the Lok Sabha, because BJP decides tickets on the basis of performance only. Besides, Lok Sabha elections will also become easier. Assembly elections 2023 are being seen as electoral semi-finals for the parties before Mission 2024.

These four MPs of Chhattisgarh are in the electoral fray

BJP has fielded four MPs including a Union Minister in the state. These include Union Minister of State and Surguja MP Renuka Singh from Bharatpur-Sonhat seat, Raigarh MP Gomti Sai from Pathalgaon Assembly seat, Bilaspur MP and BJP state president Arun Sav Lormi and Durg MP Vijay Baghel have been declared candidates from Patan Assembly constituency. .

All these leaders have entered the state by making Modi model an election weapon. In his rallies and meetings, Prime Minister Modi mentioned the successes of other guarantee models like giving reservation to women, sending money directly to the accounts of farmers, making women’s lives smoke-free through Ujjwala Gas Scheme, free treatment through Ayushman Bharat Scheme. These are being presented as the strengths of BJP.

Both Congress MPs took charge

Korba’s Congress MP Jyotsna Mahant and Congress State President and Bastar MP have been continuously opening a front against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nine-year government in the Congress resolution camp. There are indications that the party may also contest the assembly elections.

Raipur MP Sunil Soni said, we all have started visiting all the Lok Sabha assemblies. We are making strategies with the election steering committee here. Bhupesh government did not implement Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Jal Jeevan Mission Scheme. If the state government is deceived by the scam, if our government is formed then we will move ahead with these plans. State Congress Committee President and MP Bastar Deepak Baij said, the Congress Party has also appointed an observer in the Lok Sabha constituency. Leadership Development Mission is being run where there are reserved seats. Not only will we win the assembly elections, we have also focused on the Lok Sabha elections 2023.
