Mumbai: A delegation led by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena president Raj Thackeray met Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and also raised issues on toll increase and toll booths and other facilities. Housing society residents of Mulund, Thane who accompanied the delegation met the Chief Minister. There was a detailed discussion regarding toll. He demanded that the contractor should provide necessary facilities at toll booths as per the contract, along with necessary sanitation facilities, ambulances, first aid facilities, cranes and maintain cleanliness of toilets.
CM Shinde asked MSRDC Managing Director Radheshyam Mopalwar to inspect the facilities at the toll booths along with the representatives of the delegation from Friday. When it was brought to the notice of the Chief Minister that the contractor would ensure that vehicles do not queue up to the yellow barriers at toll booths, Shri Shinde directed to appoint additional manpower for this. The Chief Minister also directed to conduct videography at all five toll booths in the Mumbai region to count the number of vehicles coming and going. He also directed to conduct structural audit of flyovers, bridges and subways on toll roads.
