America bombed weapons depot linked to Iran in Syria; 9 people died tragically

Washington: America bombed Syria with its state-of-the-art F-15 aircraft. The weapons depot where weapons related to Iran were stored was attacked. US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said that two American F-15 aircraft carried out the attack in response to attacks against American personnel. An attack on the eastern city of Der Ezzor on Wednesday killed nine people linked to Iran-backed groups, a war monitor said.

The United States is attempting to prevent Iran and its proxies from turning the Israel-Hamas conflict into a regional war, but repeated attacks and strikes in response threaten to escalate conflict between Washington and Tehran. It is the second time in a week that the United States has targeted a location in Syria it says is linked to Iran, which supports groups that Washington blames for a surge in attacks on its forces in the Middle East.

US military forces launched a self-defense attack on a facility used by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and affiliated groups in eastern Syria, Austin said in a statement. Austin said the attack was carried out by two American F-15s against a weapons storage facility. “This precision self-defense strike is a response to a series of attacks by IRGC-Quds Force affiliates against the American people and their facilities in Iraq and Syria,” Austin said. Let us tell you that as part of efforts to prevent the Islamic State group from growing again, about 2,500 American soldiers are deployed in Iraq and about 900 American soldiers are deployed in Syria.
