Bhopal: On Thursday, BJP submitted to the Election Commission Congress leader and former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh, Congress candidate from Churhat Assembly Ajay Singh Rahul, Kamleshwar Patel from Sinhawal, Kamlesh Singh from Dhauhani, Gyan Singh from Sidhi and Congress candidate Vikrant Bhuria from Jhabua Assembly and Chhindwara MP Nakul. A complaint has been filed against Nath for violation of the election code of conduct.
Complaint against Congress candidates for violation of code of conduct
The BJP delegation has said in the memorandum given to the Chief Electoral Officer that the Congress candidates of Churhat, Sihawal, Sidhi and Dhauhani of Sidhi district have issued a joint statement on the X handle saying that the call of Sidhi district is Congress this time. All four candidates of the Congress Party have issued this statement after the election campaign has ended without obtaining approval, which is a violation of the code of conduct.
Complaint against Digvijay Singh
BJP has said in the complaint that after the end of the campaign period, former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has released a campaign video of Congress by tagging the Twitter handle named Madhya Pradesh Congress and Office of Kamal Nath from his authorized X handle. In this, a cartoon of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has been made.
In another complaint, BJP has also complained about Jhabua Congress candidate Vikrant Bhuria and Chhindwara MP Nakul Nath releasing their own and Congress party’s promotional video on X handle without the permission of the Election Commission. Action has been demanded.
