Rajan Zed, distinguished Hindu leader based in USA, has been bestowed with “Global Hindu Statesman Award” by Jyoti B.Ed. College, a premier teacher training institute in southwestern Punjab (India).
Presented to Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, during his visit to this College in Fazilka, citation on the Award said: for being the voice of Hindus worldwide, and bravely taking up many Hindu issues in various countries.
Citation further noted: for reading Hindu prayers in the United States Senate and US House-of-Representatives in Washington DC, and 292 other legislative bodies all over USA.
For efforts at providing worldwide Hindu identity & enhancing understanding of Hinduism; citation added.

Rajan Zed, a global Hindu and interfaith leader, has been bestowed with the World Interfaith Leader Award. Zed is Senior Fellow and Religious Advisor to Foundation for Religious Diplomacy, on the Advisory Board of The Interfaith Peace Project, etc. He has been panelist for “On Faith”, a prestigious interactive conversation on religion produced by The Washington Post; and produces a weekly multi-faith panel “Faith Forum” in a Gannett publication since 2011.
