Washington: US President Joe Biden has advised not to conduct military operations without the safety of the common man. Biden told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Israel should not launch a military operation in Gaza’s densely populated Rafah city without a concrete plan to protect civilians.
Two Egyptian officials and a Western diplomat had said that Egypt has warned that if Israeli troops are sent to Rafah then it will suspend its peace agreement with Israel. After Egypt’s warning, talks also took place between Biden and Netanyahu. However, Netanyahu had also said a few days ago that he had instructed the army to prepare a plan to evacuate people from Rafah city in southern Gaza before a possible Israeli attack.
