Biden’s warning backfires… Israel will deploy troops in Rafah

Jerusalem: The war between Israel and Hamas has been going on for the past several months. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced military action in Rafah city of southern Gaza Strip. Netanyahu said that Israeli forces would land in Rafah and wipe out Hamas. However, many global countries including America are putting pressure on Israel to maintain distance from Rafah.  Rafa is considered to be the relatively safest area, where 15 lakh people have taken shelter. Netanyahu said that we are going to enter Rafah without harming the civilian population.

Netanyahu’s statement came at a time when European Union leaders have requested Israel not to start its ground operation in Rafah. The European Council has called on the Israeli government to desist from ground operations in Rafah, where millions of Palestinians are sheltering and receiving humanitarian aid. Let us tell you that only last week, US President Biden had warned Netanyahu not to cross the red line and abandon his intention to attack Rafah.
