New Delhi: BJP has released its second list for the Lok Sabha elections. Names of 72 candidates have been announced in this list. The names of many Union Ministers are also there in it. In the second list of 72 candidates, Nitin Gadkari from Nagpur and Anurag Thakur from Hamirpur have been given tickets. Manohar Lal Khattar, who left the post of Chief Minister of Haryana a day earlier, will contest elections from Karnal.
Earlier, Bharatiya Janata Party had released the first list of its candidates on March 2. Party’s national general secretary Vinod Tawde had said that candidates for 195 seats in 16 states and two union territories have been decided. It was announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will contest from Varanasi and Home Minister Amit Shah from Gandhinagar. Names of 34 central and state ministers were also in this list.
