Chennai: CSK beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets in the first match of the IPL 2024 season in front of the MA Chidambaram Stadium crowd. Chennai’s Mahendra Singh Dhoni showed that his talent has not faded even at the age of forty-two.
Bangalore Royal Challengers won the toss and elected to bat. On the strength of Bangladesh’s left-handed bowler Mustafizur Rahman’s brilliant bowling performance, Chennai Super Kings debuted in the opening match of IPL by restricting Bangalore Royal Challengers to 173 runs.

Dinesh Karthik and Anuj Rawat were slowly moving the score card of Royal Challengers. In the last ball of the 20th over, Dinesh Karthik was bowled by a direct hit by Dhoni. Royal when it’s over Challengers’ score was 173 runs with the loss of 6 wickets. Kohli was out for 21 runs and Anuj Rawat scored 48 runs from 25 balls to become Bangalore’s top scorer.
Ritan Ravinjendra, which was bowled out to a target of 174 runs, Red Rachin Ravindra has been up 37 off 15 balls. Ute Chennai got 16 runs in that over. Chennai Super Kings overcame the victory target in the nineteenth over bowled by Alsari Joseph with one over and 2 balls to spare. Shivam Dubey scored 34 runs off 28 balls.
