Calicut, Kerala: In a significant milestone for Quranic education, the Markaz Academy of Quran Studies celebrated the graduation of 161 huffaz who completed their memorization of the Quran in 2022 and 2023. This esteemed academy, renowned as one of India’s largest Quranic study centres, has already seen around 2500 individuals complete their studies.
With a commitment to excellence, more than 800 students are currently enrolled in Quranic studies across 25 off-campuses. The impact of the academy extends globally, with Markaz students showcasing their talents on international platforms and representing India in prestigious Holy Quran competitions held in countries such as Egypt, the UAE, Libya, and Germany, among others. Their commendable performances have consistently secured top positions, bringing pride to their alma mater. Furthermore, the Markaz alums are active worldwide, with over 100 Markaz Huffaz currently serving in Masjids under religious affairs departments in various foreign countries.
In recognition of their academic achievements, Muhammad Bishar Muzhangallur, Muhammad Jasil Peruvallur, Muhammad Ali Hijasi Etarikode, Muhammad Shanid Chamal, Muhammad Hanan Balathur, and Muhammad Nabeel Vailathur were honoured with the top awards by Markaz Founder Chancellor Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad. These individuals bagged the first, second, and third positions in the HIFZ annual examination, showcasing their dedication and proficiency in Quranic studies. Various gatherings, including the Hafiz Meet and Dastar Bandi, were held during the Convocation Conference.
