New Delhi: The Election Commission wants to change the campaign song of Aam Aadmi Party. The action is based on violation of the election rules and the guidelines of the commission.
Meanwhile, the BJP had earlier filed a complaint alleging that the AAP’s campaign song would backfire on central investigative agencies and the party. AAP released the song ‘Jail Ka Jawab Vot Se’ on Thursday. The two-minute long campaign song has been sung by party MLA Dilip Pandey.
A crowd holding a picture of Kejriwal standing behind the jail door can also be seen in the song scene. The Election Commission has asked for a change in the song citing that the content of the song is in violation of the Cable Television Network Rules of 1994. This made the song unusable in its current form.
