New Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been granted interim bail in the money laundering case related to Delhi’s alleged liquor scam. CM Kejriwal was released from Tihar Jail on Friday evening. His Saturday schedule is very busy. He first went to the ancient Hanuman temple located at Connaught Place and offered prayers. Kejriwal met the media for the first time after being released from jail. He said that Bajrangbali has greatly blessed him. CM Kejriwal said that no one expected that I would be released from jail and come among you during the elections. Along with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Ministers Bhagwant Mann, Sandeep Pathak, Sanjay Singh, Atishi Marlena, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Imran Hussain, ND Gupta were also present.
After being released from Tihar Jail in the money laundering case, CM Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday told the party workers and supporters that I am coming among you straight from the jail. It feels great to be among you guys. CM Kejriwal said, ‘Just now I, my wife and Bhagwant Mann had gone to Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place. Took blessings there. Bajrangbali has greatly blessed us. By his grace I am among you today. Our Aam Aadmi Party is a small party. We are in two states. It is a 10 year old party, but no stone was left unturned to crush and destroy our party.
‘…then the party ends’
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that four top leaders of our party were sent to jail simultaneously. If four top leaders of big parties go to jail, the party comes to an end. Kejriwal said, ‘They thought that the party would end, but it is not a party, it is a thought…it grows. In 75 years, no party and its leader has been tortured as much as the Aam Aadmi Party and its leaders have been tortured. In the year 2015, we ourselves handed over one of our ministers to CBI. In Punjab I came to know that one of my ministers was asking for money. We picked him up and sent him to jail.
Kejriwal is the most popular leader – Bhagwant Mann
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that Arvind Kejriwal has become the most popular leader of the country. He said, ‘The whole country saw what happened to him. A PC was installed in the same connection, but this PC is not being installed…it has become a rally. Thanks to the revolutionary people of Delhi who stood like a rock in times of crisis. The whole world is watching this press conference to see what direction Arvind Kejriwal gives. Wherever I went I said that Kejriwal is not a person but a thought. How will you arrest your thoughts?
‘Kejriwal had retired for a while’
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann further said, ‘Arvind Kejriwal has once again come to bat on the same pitch on which he had retired for a while. Giving good news from Punjab. There are 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab and one is Kurukshetra. BJP and Congress wiped out from Punjab. We will win 13 out of 13 seats in Punjab. The jail locks were broken, Kejriwal was freed. You cannot imprison any thought. In Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party is seeking votes on 8 years’ work and in Punjab we are seeking votes on two years’ work.
