According to sources, a big meeting of Aam Aadmi Party is going to be held tomorrow. It has been told that CM Arvind Kejriwal has called a big meeting in Delhi. In which Kejriwal will hold a meeting with all the MLAs of Delhi. This meeting will be held tomorrow morning at the Chief Minister’s residence in Delhi. This is the first big meeting of CM Kejriwal after coming out of Tihar Jail.
It is noteworthy that in a big relief to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Supreme Court on Friday granted him interim bail till June 1 to campaign in the Lok Sabha elections. A bench of Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Dipankar Dutta said that Kejriwal, arrested in a money laundering case related to the alleged excise policy scam, will have to surrender on June 2 and go back to jail.
The Supreme Court bench did not accept the request of Kejriwal’s lawyer Abhishek Singhvi that he be granted interim bail till June 5. Voting will be held in the seventh and final phase for the Lok Sabha elections on June 1. Counting of votes will take place on June 4. The court said that details of the reasons for granting interim bail to Kejriwal will be given later. On behalf of the ED, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta and Additional Solicitor General SV Raju opposed the grant of interim bail to the national convenor of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on the basis of election campaign, saying that there is no such precedent.
