After Nadda joining the Modi government, it has become clear that the party will get a new national president. Nadda’s tenure as Speaker was completed in January and he got an extension till the Lok Sabha elections.

There were many discussions going on about who would be the new national president. The names of former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan and former Haryana CM Manohar Lal were also floating.
