New Delhi: India has got a new NDA government 5 days after the results of Lok Sabha elections were declared. Narendra Modi has taken oath as Prime Minister for the third consecutive time. Rajnath Singh took oath after Modi. Amit Shah arrived at number three to take oath. In 2019 also, the order of taking oath was the same. A total of 72 ministers including Prime Minister Narendra Modi have taken oath. These include 30 cabinet ministers, 5 ministers of state with independent charge and 36 ministers of state.
1. Narendra Modi
took oath as the Prime Minister of the country for the third consecutive time. He has become an MP by winning the Lok Sabha elections for the third time from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
2. Rajnath Singh,
72 years old, has been the Home and Defense Minister of the country. He has also held the post of Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and National President of BJP.
3. Amit Shah,
59 years old, has been the country’s Home Minister and BJP President. Became MP from Gandhinagar for the second consecutive time. Has been MLA of Gujarat four times. He is also the former Minister of State for Home of Gujarat.
4. Nitin Gadkari,
age 67, has been a cabinet minister in the Modi government since 2014. He is the former national president of BJP. He has become MP for the third consecutive time by winning the elections from Nagpur, Maharashtra.
5. JP Nadda,
age 63, is the national president of BJP. In 2014, he was the Health Minister in the Modi government. He has also been a cabinet minister in Himachal government.
6. Shivraj Singh Chauhan,
age 65, took oath as cabinet minister for the first time. He is the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and won the Lok Sabha elections from Vidisha in Madhya Pradesh.
7. Nirmala Sitharaman,
age 64, was the Finance Minister in the previous government. Is an MP from Rajya Sabha.
8. S. Jaishankar,
age 69, became the Foreign Minister of the country after retiring from the post of Foreign Secretary. Has been elected MP from Rajya Sabha twice.
9. Manohar Lal Khattar,
age 70, took oath as a cabinet minister for the first time. Was the Chief Minister of Haryana for 9 years. He is a former campaigner of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and has been elected MP for the first time from Karnal, Haryana.
10. HD Kumaraswamy,
age 65, is the former Chief Minister of Karnataka. He is the son of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and comes from the Vokkaliga community. Has become Lok Sabha MP for the third time. He is the leader of NDA’s ally Janata Dal Secular.
11. Piyush Goyal,
age 60, has been a leader in the Rajya Sabha, has been elected MP from the Lok Sabha for the first time. Before this, he became an MP as a member of Rajya Sabha and was a minister in previous governments. MP has been elected from Mumbai North seat of Maharashtra.
12. Dharmendra Pradhan,
54 years old, was the Education Minister in the previous government. Won Lok Sabha elections from Sambalpur, Odisha.
13. Jitan Ram Manjhi,
78 years old, is the leader of Hindustani Awam Morcha, an ally of the NDA alliance. He has been the former Chief Minister of Bihar. Comes from Dalit community and has become MP for the first time.

Age 69 years, leader of NDA’s ally Janata Dal United. Former national president of JDU and comes from Bhumihar community. Elected MP from Munger.

age 62 years, former Chief Minister of Assam and comes from tribal community. Has been a minister in the previous government. Won Lok Sabha elections from Dibrugarh, Assam.
16. Virendra Khatik,
age 70 years, has been a minister in the previous government. Elected MP for the eighth time. This time he has reached Parliament by getting elected from Tikamgarh seat of Madhya Pradesh. Considered a big Dalit leader in Madhya Pradesh.
17. K Rammohan Naidu,
age 36 years, MP from Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, son of former minister Yerren Naidu. This time he is the youngest cabinet minister.
18. Prahlad Joshi,
age 61 years, has won Lok Sabha elections for the fifth time from Dharwad, Karnataka. Former President of Karnataka BJP and has been a minister in the previous government.
19. Jual Oram,
age 63 years, has been elected MP from Sundargarh in Odisha. He has been a minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government. He has been elected MP for the sixth time. He is known as a big tribal face.
