PM Modi narrowly escaped defeat from Varanasi, love defeated hatred: Rahul Gandhi

Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi is on a visit to Kerala today. Addressing a public meeting in Malappuram, he thanked the people for electing him for the second term in the Lok Sabha. Rahul Gandhi said that love and affection defeated hatred, humility defeated arrogance.

The 2024 Lok Sabha elections will be fought to protect the Constitution. My dilemma is whether I should become an MP from Wayanad or Rae Bareli. Both Wayanad and Rae Bareli will be happy with my decision. Addressing a public meeting, Congress MP from Wayanad Rahul Gandhi said, “… Every history and tradition of this country is protected by our Constitution.” Rahul Gandhi said, “The people of Kerala, Uttar Pradesh and all other states have shown the Prime Minister that he cannot tell the people of India what they want. The people of India also told the Prime Minister that the Constitution is our voice, do not touch it.”

People gave a message – we like hatred and violence
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said, “Before the elections, you saw BJP leaders saying that they will tear the Constitution. After the elections, you saw the Prime Minister doing this with the Constitution (touching the Constitution to his forehead).” He said, “The truth is that the Prime Minister narrowly escaped in Varanasi and he himself would have lost in Varanasi. The BJP lost in Ayodhya. The people of Ayodhya have given a message that we like hatred and violence.”
