Petition filed in High Court for investigation of financial transactions against Kerala Chief Minister Pinaray Vijayan

Kochi:  A petition has been filed in the High Court demanding an investigation into the alleged financial transactions against Kerala Chief Minister P Vijayan. On this petition, the High Court has issued a notice to CM Vijayan and sought his response.

The petition has been filed by Congress MLA Mathew Kuzhalandan. The petition alleges that there was a financial transaction between CM Vijayan’s daughter’s IT firm and a private mining company. Questions have been raised on this financial transaction. In response to the petition, the High Court has issued notice to CM Vijayan as well as his daughter, her IT firm and private mining company and sought their response.

The CM’s daughter’s IT firm is currently inactive. Congress MLA Kuzhalandan had filed a petition in the Vigilance Court before the High Court, demanding an inquiry against the CM. However, the Vigilance Court rejected the Congress MLA’s petition.
