Supreme Court strict in NEET case; Will hear on July 8: Answer sought from NTA and Center

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday reprimanded the National Testing Agency and the Center while hearing the petitions related to the alleged paper leak and irregularities in NEET. The bench of the apex court said that even the slightest negligence on anyone’s part should be dealt with completely. The petition has been filed on behalf of Amulya Vijay Pinapati and Nitin Vijay in the NEET case. The petitions have demanded an inquiry into the leak of NEET paper. The Supreme Court will hear the matter on July 8.

At the same time, the apex court has sought a reply from the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the Center within two weeks. The lawyer appearing for Nitin Vijay said that if such an exam is conducted, how will one become a doctor, only God knows. On this, the NTA objected and said let us answer. The petitioner’s lawyer said that the NTA has accepted its mistake in grace marks. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has sought a reply from the Center and NTA within two weeks.

The Supreme Court directed the NTA and the Center to respond. It said that we cannot give the order today as per the petitioner. The Supreme Court told the Center and NTA that if there is even 0.001% negligence on anyone’s part, then it should be dealt with completely.

On the other hand, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has filed a petition to transfer the case filed by the National Medical Commission in the High Court to the Supreme Court, on which the Supreme Court said that it will hear it on July 8.
