Mumbai: A banner outside the Shiv Sena office in Kankavali of Sindhudurg district reads, “Let the time come, we will give answers and take account.” The banner has pictures of Shiv Sena minister Uday Samant and his brother Kiran Samant in the Shinde government. Both of them are residents of this district. Uday Samant is a four-time MLA from Ratnagiri. It is not clear who will he answer to and who will he take account from, but reports of tension in the ruling coalition in Maharashtra are definitely coming. First, there were reports of differences between Ajit Pawar’s NCP and BJP and now there is a dispute between Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s party Shiv Sena and BJP. The result is that the banners put up at various places in Kankavali of Sindhudurg district of the state are telling the story of the internal tussle between the two constituent parties.
In fact, after the Lok Sabha elections, the rift between BJP and Shinde faction has widened. Earlier, the Samant brothers wanted the Ratnagiri Sindhudurg Lok Sabha seat to remain with them but the BJP fielded the then Union Minister Narayan Rane from there. Rane’s son Nilesh Rane alleges that the Samant brothers did not help in the area. However, Narayan Rane managed to win from there. It is believed that through this banner, Shiv Sena has tried to warn Rane. According to a report by ABP Majha, this banner is being discussed in the entire district and many arguments are being given. The banner also has a picture of Balasaheb Thackeray and CM Eknath Shinde printed on it and a big tiger is also shown. Apart from this, the banner has large-sized pictures of Uday Samant and Kiran Samant. After this, Shiv Sena Sindhudurg District Officer and Shiv Sainik is written in the content.
NDA could not perform well in Maharashtra in the Lok Sabha elections. Out of the total 48 seats in the state, NDA has won 17 seats, while UPA has won 30 and one seat was won by an independent. After the election results, the first spark in the NDA alliance flared up in the Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg constituency itself, when newly elected MP Narayan Rane’s son and former MP Nilesh Rane accused Uday Samant that despite being the guardian minister, why Uday Samant could not give Narayan Rane a lead in the district. Rane had also said that he would never forget the behavior of the Samant brothers. Rane alleged that we were in the minus in Uday Samant’s assembly constituency Ratnagiri. In such a situation, he should tell why he could not give us the lead. Nilesh Rane fiercely targeted the Samant brothers and alleged that despite being the guardian minister, Uday Samant failed to give us the lead in the district. Rane said that Uday Samant is the guardian minister of Ratnagiri. He did not do what he should have done as a guardian minister.
