Kochi: Marking its 25th anniversary celebrations, leading digital transformation solutions company UST awarded the GA Menon Scholarships to 25 deserving students at the Govt Higher Secondary School, North Paravur, Kerala. UST has been closely associated with the GHSS North Paravur, as the company’s Founding Chairman, GA Menon, had been an alumnus of the school.
The 25 children were selected for the scholarships based on merit and their academic excellence. The scholarships were awarded to the children at a function organised at the school premises recently.
UST’s Chief Values Officer and Global Head – Development Centre Operations Sunil Balakrishnan; CSR Ambassador Sofi Janet; Colors Catalyst Nipun Varma; CSR executives Vineeth Mohanan and Ramukrishna; CSR Core Team Members Shine Abdul Rasheed and Lakshmy Menon; North Paravur Municipal Chairperson Beena Sasidharan; PTA President Mohammed Ashraf P S; SMC Chairman Vinu M J; GHSS North Paravur Principal Veena S V; Headmistress Sini A S; and other authorities from the school attended. UST also organised a session on Cyber Security for the school children as part of the function.
“Keeping in line with our Founding Chairman GA Menon’s vision towards transforming lives, UST has always been keen on raising the standard of education among children. Coinciding with the 25th anniversary celebrations of UST, we picked the Govt Higher Secondary School at North Paravur, where GA Menon was an alumnus, to extend our support. We selected 25 students from the school and gave them the coveted GA Menon Scholarships based on their merit and academic excellence, allowing them to continue their study without any obstacles,” said Sunil Balakrishnan, Chief Values Officer and Global Head – Development Centre Operations, UST.
UST has been at the forefront of providing support to schools and students in ushering in better infrastructure and educational facilities, as part of the company’s CSR initiatives.
