Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal reached Pune on Sunday where she met Nationalist Congress Party (SP) chief Sharad Pawar. This meeting between Sunita and Sharad Pawar was kept so secret that even AAP’s Pune workers were not aware of it. The media was also kept away from this meeting.
Sunita Kejriwal did not go to Pune alone. AAP’s Sanjay Singh was also with her. Both of them reached Pune on Sunday afternoon and in the evening they met for about 45 minutes in a closed room in Pawar’s office. Sunita refused to say anything publicly about this meeting before reaching Delhi.
Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson Mukund Kirdat said in a conversation with the media that he has no information about Sunita Kejriwal’s arrival here and this meeting.
Another AAP leader said that the Supreme Court will hear Kejriwal’s bail plea on August 23, so it is possible that the two had a discussion on this. Apart from this, there could also be a discussion on the postponement of elections in Jammu-Kashmir and Haryana and the Maharashtra Assembly elections.
The leader said, ‘Sunita Kejriwal is the main election campaigner of AAP in Haryana. It is possible that there was a discussion between the two about alliance in Haryana and Maharashtra assembly elections.’ In the Lok Sabha elections, AAP and NCP (SP) were part of India Alliance. Meanwhile, NCP (SP) spokesperson Mahesh Tapase said that he has no information about what happened in this meeting.
