Mona Aggarwal, an accomplished Indian para shooter from Rajasthan, was born in 1987. She showcased her exceptional talent by winning a gold medal at the WSPS Para Shooting World Cup in New Delhi in March 2024, which secured her a quota place to represent India. Mona’s remarkable journey is marked by her determination and perseverance, which ultimately led her to win a prestigious bronze medal, making her country proud and cementing her position as a talented para shooter on the international stage.
Mona Agarwal was born in Sikar, Rajasthan. She tried various sports like volleyball before taking up shooting in December 2021. Mona’s life has faced many challenges, including a polio attack at nine months old and lack of support from her family due to being a girl. Her husband, a former wheelchair basketball player, is recovering from a brain injury at home. Despite these obstacles, Mona found encouragement from her maternal grandmother, Geetha Devi. She is now a proud mother of two children, Avik and Aarvi, and has made a new life for herself in Jaipur after marriage.
Mona Agarwal began her international shooting career at a World Cup event in Osijek, Croatia. She gained recognition after winning a gold medal in Delhi and then went on to claim another gold medal at a Para World Cup event in Changwon, Korea.
