New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah claimed that the idea of Naxalism will be uprooted from the country before March 2026. Shah said this while talking to about 55 Naxalite violence victims of Chhattisgarh at his home in New Delhi. He said that the central government has been successful in eliminating Naxalism in the entire country except four districts of Bastar. Home Minister Shah has appealed to the Naxalites to give up violence and surrender.
He said that if the Naxalites do not give up violence, the government will run an all-out campaign against them. We will end Naxalism. He appealed to the Naxalites to surrender before the law, give up their weapons. Giving the example of Kashmir, he said that many people in the North-East and Kashmir have given up weapons and joined the mainstream. You are also welcome to join the mainstream but if this does not happen then we will run a campaign against them.
Shah said that the security forces have achieved significant success in their operations against the Maoists and this problem is now only in four districts of Chhattisgarh. He said that the Naxalites had once conspired to build a corridor from Pashupatinath to Tirupati, but the Modi government foiled it. Shah said that the Home Ministry will soon prepare a welfare scheme for the Naxal violence affected people of Chhattisgarh in collaboration with the state government.
