Travelling by looking at the location from Google Map has become very dangerous. A few days ago, three people died when a car fell from an incomplete bridge. Once again, an accident happened due to Google Map in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. A car located on Pilibhit Road in Izzat Nagar police station area of Bareilly fell into the Kalapur canal due to Google Map. There were three people in the car. Police teams reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. The police got the car out of the canal with the help of JCB.
Thankfully, the lives of three car riders were saved. Izzat Nagar police station in-charge Dhananjav Pandey said that Divyanshu son of Mahendra Pratap Singh, a resident of Auraiya, and two people with him had left in their Tata Tagore car. He was going to Pilibhit with the help of Google Map from satellite. Kalapur canal has cut the road near village Barkapur Tiraha. Due to this, the car overturned in the canal. Three people in the car narrowly escaped. The car was taken out with the help of a crane.
The incident happened on 24th November : A tragic accident happened in Bareilly on 24th November due to wrong route shown on Google Map. There is a bridge near Muda village on the road from Dataganj of Badaun to Faridpur of Bareilly, which is incomplete. On 24th November, three people travelling in a car became victims of the accident.
They went ahead with the help of Google Map and as soon as the bridge ended, their car fell 20 feet down, due to which all three people died. In this incident, the negligence of PWD was also revealed. Despite being incomplete, no barriers and indicators were installed on it. In this case, the Naib Tehsildar of Dataganj had filed a case against five engineers. The police has also issued a notice to Google.
