BJP leader and former West Delhi MP Pravesh Verma is continuously attacking the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). On Friday, he made a big claim about AAP supremo and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He said that Arvind Kejriwal may change his seat in the upcoming assembly elections and he cannot contest from New Delhi seat.
Arvind Kejriwal has been an MLA from New Delhi seat since 2013 and is going to contest from this seat for the fourth time in the 2025 assembly elections. On this, Pravesh Verma took a dig at Arvind Kejriwal and said, “Please do not run away from New Delhi Assembly.” This reaction has come at a time when AAP had accused Pravesh Verma of distributing money to women in exchange for votes before the elections.
Pravesh Verma gave his response through a post, in which he wrote, “I have come to know from some sources that Arvind Kejriwal can change his seat, but I just tell him that please do not run away from New Delhi seat and contest the election with the dignity of democracy.” However, there has been no response from AAP on this yet.
Some time ago, the Aam Aadmi Party had accused Pravesh Verma of distributing money to women in exchange for votes before the assembly elections. AAP MP Sanjay Singh had also filed a complaint with the ED (Enforcement Directorate) in this matter. He said that this is a case of money laundering, but no action has been taken so far. Pravesh Verma responded to this allegation by saying that he is helping the poor, and this is bothering Arvind Kejriwal.
In a TV interview, Pravesh Verma called Arvind Kejriwal a liar. He said that Kejriwal is an expert in lying. He called the Delhi government’s Mahila Samman Yojana fake and said that if there was any such scheme, it would have been passed by the cabinet first and budget would have been allocated, but nothing like this was done.
Verma also alleged that Arvind Kejriwal had promised to deposit Rs 1000 in the bank account of every woman if he formed the government in Punjab, but even after 3 years, not a single woman has received the money. He said, “If he wants to give money to women, then first give it to the women of Punjab, then give it to the women of Delhi.” Pravesh Verma said that if Kejriwal had done some work in 11 years, then he would not have needed to make false promises.
