Washington DC: A plane and a helicopter have collided in Washington DC, USA. The accident was very horrific. The collision was so strong that both the plane and the helicopter broke down. Also, the passenger plane has fallen into the river. It is being told that there were about 60 passengers on board the plane. This plane belonged to American Airlines. The accident took place near the White House in Washington DC and the plane fell into the Potomac River. According to the information, 27 bodies have been recovered so far.
This passenger plane, American Airlines, was coming from Kansas City to Washington. The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said in a statement that before landing near Reagan National Airport outside Washington DC, the plane collided with a US Army Sikorsky H-60 helicopter in the air and crashed into the Potomac River.
According to the report, US Senator from Kansas Roger Marshall said that the helicopter with which the passenger plane collided belonged to the US Army. Also, there were 60 people on board the plane. Marshall wrote on X, ‘Today Raj we got such a devastating news which can be called nothing less than a nightmare. A plane going from Wichita, Kansas to the country’s capital, which had about 60 passengers on board, collided with a military helicopter.’
A video on social media shows how the plane hit a helicopter while landing at Reagan Airport and then fell into the river. After this incident, all flights were stopped at Washington Airport. It can be seen in the video that after the collision, the plane becomes a ball of fire.
