I will not live in Sheeshmahal, will build a museum and dedicate it to the public: Rekha Gupta

New Delhi: BJP Legislature Party leader Rekha Gupta said even before taking oath as CM that Sheeshmahal will be made a museum. BJP calls the bungalow in which Arvind Kejriwal lived as Chief Minister as Sheeshmahal. It is alleged that Kejriwal had spent crores of rupees on the reconstruction and decoration of this bungalow. BJP has already decided that their CM will not live in this bungalow.

Rekha Gupta, who was elected as the leader of the Legislature Party in the BJP’s state office on Wednesday evening, while talking to a TV channel about Sheeshmahal, said that we will make Sheeshmahal a museum… We will fulfill all the promises that PM Modi has made to the public. I express my gratitude for choosing me for this post.

On the question of living in Sheeshmahal, Rekha Gupta said that she will not live in it. It is a palace earned by the hard work of the public. She will dedicate it to the public. The public should go and see it and they will realize every moment where their money has been spent. There has been a war of words between BJP and AAP for a long time regarding this bungalow located at 6 Flagstaff Road in Delhi. Crores of rupees have been allegedly spent illegally on the bungalow.

Recently, such things were also revealed in the leaked report in the media that the CVC has started an investigation. It is alleged that during the Corona period, Arvind Kejriwal merged several nearby bungalows with his residence and spent crores of rupees. Kejriwal, who went to jail in the alleged liquor scam, vacated the bungalow when he resigned from the post after coming out.

During the elections in Delhi, BJP had made Sheeshmahal a big issue. PM Modi himself had also mentioned it in rallies. BJP used to remind the people of Delhi how Kejriwal used to say at the time of coming into politics that he would not live in a big bungalow if he became the CM.
