Mumbai: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has received a bomb threat. An unknown person has allegedly threatened to blow up his vehicle. Mumbai Police has started an investigation to trace the unknown person who sent the email.
According to police sources, the threatening email was sent to several places including Goregaon Police Station, Mantralaya and JJ Marg Police Station. The message warned of a possible bomb attack on Eknath Shinde’s vehicle, raising security concerns. Initial investigation suggests that the email may be a hoax, but officials do not want to take any chances. Mumbai Police Cyber Cell and intelligence teams are actively working to trace the IP address and source of the email. Shinde’s security has been beefed up following the threat, with additional police deployment and surveillance measures in place. Officials have assured that a thorough investigation is being conducted to identify the person who sent the threat.
Mumbai Police has urged people to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity while continuing the search for the suspect. At the same time, differences are visible between Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on many issues, including the appointment of a guardian minister and holding review meetings. The BJP-led three-party alliance Mahayuti formed its government in Maharashtra three months ago. However, any clarification or claim is proving insufficient to put an end to the speculation of differences between the two.
