Washington: US President Donald Trump is going to buy a Tesla electric car. He informed about this on the social media platform. Posting on social media, President Trump wrote, “Elon Musk is risking his life to help our nation and he is doing a great job! But radical leftists are boycotting Elon Musk’s company Tesla to harm him. They tried to stop me in the 2024 election, but it could not happen. Whatever happens, I am going to buy a new Tesla tomorrow morning to show faith and support for Elon Musk, a true great American.”
Trump further questioned why he (Elon Musk) should be punished for putting his tremendous skills to work to help make America great again?
To curb the wasteful expenditure of government agencies, President Trump has established the Department of Government Efficiency i.e. DOGE. Elon Musk has been made its head. Officials of the Department of Government Efficiency advise the Trump government on how to stop the wasteful expenditure of government money.
Liberal groups are continuously protesting against Elon Musk against layoffs in America. For several weeks, liberal groups have been protesting against Tesla in order to negatively impact the sales of the car company and to intensify opposition to Musk’s government efficiency department.
A campaign called ‘Burn a Tesla: Save Democracy’ is also being run. A few days ago, 9 people have been arrested in connection with the violent protest outside Tesla in New York City. Police said hundreds of people were involved in the protest.
Elon Musk, the head of the Government Efficiency Department, has been a big supporter of the Trump administration’s cost-cutting. However, now the Trump administration officials themselves are raising questions on Elon Musk’s decisions. Recently, during a high-level meeting on the staff reduction issue, there was an argument between Foreign Minister Marco Rubio and Elon Musk.
Musk alleges that Rubio has not done enough layoffs in his department. After this, Rubio also hit back at Musk and said that 1500 employees from his department have already retired on their own. Rubio tauntingly asked Musk whether he wants to re-employ them so that they can be fired just for show.
