Describing the Waqf Amendment Act 2025 as a bill for poor Muslims, Rajasthan Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Madan Rathore said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has prepared this bill keeping in mind the interests of poor Muslim brothers and sisters.
Rathore said in Jaipur on Friday that due to lack of information about this bill, some people are misleading the people of the Muslim community, but when the Waqf property will be used for the education, medical treatment and upliftment of poor Muslims, then the Muslim community will understand that this is in their interest.
He clarified once again that the government is not going to take even an inch of Waqf property. The government will free the Waqf properties from the clutches of strongmen and use the income from those properties for the poor people of the Muslim community.
He said that the Wakf property has been occupied by musclemen. Congress National President Kharge had also occupied five acres of Wakf land, which he is returning now, but has not returned it yet. Now he has offered to return the Wakf land.
He said that not only Kharge, many Congress leaders have captured the Waqf property and are misusing it, but the Modi government will now vacate the illegal encroachments on Waqf property and use the income from it for the poor Muslim community.
