Manjeri: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Kerla Assistant Ameer P. Mujeeb Rahman said that hindutva terrorism is the biggest challenge for the country and it is the responsibility of all those in the anti-Hindutva front to counter it. He was speaking after inaugurating an event organised by the Solidarity Youth Movement titled ‘Youth Resistance against Hindutva Terrorism’ to mark the 21st anniversary of the Gujarat pogrom. Solidarity state president C T Suhaib presided over the public meeting held at the old bus stand premises in Manjeri. “At a time when anti-Muslim propaganda and different methodologies of genocide are gaining momentum, there is a need to be vigilant against normalising Hindutva terror and constantly speaking out loud about the oppressors”, he said.
Abdul Majid (Ahmedabad), whose family was killed in the Gujarat pogrom, was the chief guest. Advocate and writer Sujitha Vijayan, Jamaat-e-Islami state secretary Shihab Pookkottoor, Dr. Nahas Mala, ISM state joint Secretary Yunus Chengara, Wisdom Youth state president Tajuddin Swalahi, P. Ambika, Jabir Hudavi Thrikkaripur, SIO state general secretary Adv.Rahman Irikkur, GIO state president Adv. Tamannah Sultana Solidarity state general secretary Thoufeeq Mambad, state secretary Rashad VP, Malappuram district president Dr. Abdul Basit and others spoke. The public meeting began with a youth rally in Manjeri town.
