Bhopal: Congress has also made preparations to release the list of candidates for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. 140 names have been considered in the Central Election Committee. The first list of Congress will be released in Navratri. It can have 150 names.
Party’s national spokesperson Dr. Ragini Nayak says that Shraddha Paksha is currently going on. We are prepared. State Congress President Kamal Nath has told that the names of the candidates have been discussed in the Central Election Committee. The selection process will take five-six more days. After this the list will be released.
It is noteworthy that most of those who are to be contested have been indicated. In the party first list, candidates along with the sitting MLAs will be declared on priority for those 66 seats where the party has been losing in the last three elections. Apart from this, candidates can also be declared on seats where there is only one name. There will be another meeting after October 12 regarding candidate selection. In this, names of candidates for those seats where there are more than one contenders will be considered.
