Thiruvananthapuram: The “Preventive Cancer Summit,” a collaborative effort between various organizations dedicated to cancer research and international cancer experts, will convene in the capital starting tomorrow, October 27.
The conference’s inauguration is scheduled for 4 pm on October 27 at Hotel Forte Manor, and it will be graced by the presence of Governor Arif Muhammad Khan. Dr. AM Belyaev, Director of the N N Petrov National Medical Centre for Oncology in Russia, will deliver the keynote speech during the inaugural session.
At 9:30 am on the same day, Dr. Mohanan Kunummel, Vice Chancellor of Arogya University, will elucidate the purpose and activities of the Cancer Summit. Dr. MV Pillai, Medical Oncologist from Thomas Jefferson University, will also address the audience with a keynote speech.
Minister V Sivankutty will preside over the inauguration of the “Kids ONCO Summit.”
The closing session, set for 6 pm on October 29, will witness Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s inauguration, during which he will announce the “Cancer Safe Kerala” initiative. Health Minister Veena George will deliver the keynote address on this momentous occasion.
