Toronto: In Canada, after some masked persons sprayed an unknown substance in cinemas showing Hindi films in three different areas of Greater Toronto, Vaughan, Brompton and Scarborough, the spectators were evacuated and some people who came in contact with them were treated. The incident occurred at the beginning of this week.
Canada’s York Regional Police said a similar incident took place at a cinema complex in Vaughan at around 9.20 pm. Police said two men wearing masks and hoods sprayed an unknown and aerosol-based substance into the air inside the cinema hall, causing many people watching the film to cough. There were around 200 people inside the cinema then. During this time a Hindi film was being shown in the cinema hall.
Police said several people were treated for exposure to the substance and the theater had to be evacuated. The condition of no person is serious due to this spraying. The suspects fled before the police arrived. No person has been arrested so far in connection with this incident.
