Kochi: In a significant stride for India-Vietnam tourism cooperation, the Kochi-based startup company ‘WebCRS Travel Technologies Pvt Ltd’ has been officially chosen to represent the delegation of entrepreneurs from the tourism sector sent to Vietnam by the Ministry of External Affairs. This initiative aims to foster international collaboration and explore new opportunities in the tourism-hospitality sector between the countries in light new direct Airline from Kochi.
WebCRS specializes in creating tourism ventures using innovative technology & business processes at a low cost, assisting MSME entrepreneurships to compete online portals and ensure financial success. The company through an innovative process has set up 61 tourism companies across Kerala, and few of these companies were part of the delegation visiting Vietnam.
The conference, organized by the Vietnam Ministry of Tourism, focused on discussing the tourism potential of Ba Ria-Vung Tau & Binh Thuan coastal cities in Vietnam.
Notable dignitaries, including Dr. Madan Mohan Sethi (Consulate General of India), Trinh Hang (Director of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Tourism Department), and Hong Ngoc Lin (Vice Chairman of Provincial Tourism Association), lead the conference held on December 20. Neelkanth Pararath, founder of WebCRS, representing India in the event, spoke on behalf of India, addressing the topic ‘What Indian Tourists Expect in Vietnam.’
The conference on 22 dec at Binh Thuan saw the participation of Pankaj Kumar (Representative of Consulate General of India) and Nguyen Lan Ngoc (Deputy Director of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Department of Binh Thuan Province). During the meeting in Binh Thuan city, Neelkanth Pararath presented insights into the travel & tourism potential of Kerala, and later discussed emphasizing the rich offerings and attractions of Kerala & India.
Expressing his views on the opportunity, Neelkanth Pararath, stated, “We are proud that the companies we support have also been selected by the Union Ministry of External Affairs for Tourism delegation. Our Travel entrepreneurs are excited by the opportunity of getting global reach for their brand to promote tourism services through this delegation. Directors of Gojo Holidays Pvt Ltd, Yaa Holidays Pvt Ltd, Happymap Holidays Pvt Ltd, and StarBloom Pvt Ltd were among the companies from Kerala that participated in this 2nd batch of international trade delegation to Vietnam. We see this as recognition of providing support to the development of Entrepreneurships in our country.”
He added, “We have been able to support about 141 entrepreneurs in the last 74 weeks to create 61 private ltd companies in this sector. Last year on MSME Day, Hon.Minister of Industries Shri P Rajeev handed over MSME certificates to 50 of these companies. In the prelaunch period, these businesses generated 21 crores worth business inquiries and successfully done business worth Rs 4.3 crores, of which over 81 lakhs business has come from abroad. We should increase collaborations with other countries like Vietnam to develop more tourism destinations and technology to maximise revenues.”
