19-year-old Bhargavi was killed inside her own house. On Wednesday morning, her mother Jangamma left Bhargavi alone at home and returned for lunch. At this time, Bhargavi’s boyfriend, the young man, was at home. The mother entered the house and threw the young man out. After this, Bhargavi shouted and harassed him.
Police say that Bhargavi was strangled with a saree after the beating. Bhargavi’s minor brother, who saw Bhargavi being harassed and killed through the window, lodged a police complaint against his mother. The police say that the brother saw the entire incident. The police found that Bhargavi’s family members were making marriage proposals and the plan was to get married as soon as possible.
