Sangrur (Punjab): Six people who fell ill after drinking spurious liquor have died in Sunam Udham Singh Wala in Sangrur district of Punjab, after which the death toll in this incident has increased to 14. Police have arrested 2 more people in this regard, taking the total to 6 arrested in this case so far.
Earlier, the police had recovered ethanol and raw material which were being used to make alcohol. The police officer said that we have made 2 new arrests in this case. Investigation is going on and the culprits will not be spared. There has been a stir due to 6 deaths in the local Ravidaspura Tibbi. In this, one person Gurmeet Singh had died a day earlier and his last rites have also been performed. Police officers are investigating the matter.
