Claims of 38000 patients rejected in Ayushman Yojana in one month

New Delhi:  Even after registration of eligible beneficiaries in Ayushman scheme, their claims are being rejected from Ayushman portal. Cash is being collected from patients in hospitals. Many patients are returned without treatment.

According to the information received from Ayushman Bharat Niramay, 38 thousand claims have been rejected in the last one month. Of these, 10 to 15 percent of the cases are rejected due to fingerprints not being found. In other cases, the hospital does not provide complete information to the portal. Due to which the portal rejects it. Under Ayushman Yojana, the case is accepted only after fingerprints are found. Fingerprints of the elderly, burn case patients and cancer patients are generally not found. Due to which those patients are not even being treated.

In the last one month, 3548 claims of Indore, 7873 of Gwalior, 9600 of Jabalpur, about 8600 of Rewa, about 2900 of Bhopal, 3421 of Datia and about 900 of Ratlam have been rejected.

Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000 are charged from patients when their case is rejected from the Ayushman portal for eligible patients under Ayushman scheme. Then the hospitals treat the patients only after collecting cash from them. Hospitals are charging Rs 30 to Rs 50,000 from the beneficiaries of Ayushman Yojana. The poor are not getting the benefits of Ayushman Yojana. Ayushman Yojana is also proving to be an election slogan.
